{"id":72279,"date":"2024-03-17T18:11:03","date_gmt":"2024-03-17T18:11:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pakistaninewspaperlist.com\/news\/karachiites-continue-to-suffer-gas-outages-during-sehr-iftar\/"},"modified":"2024-03-17T18:11:03","modified_gmt":"2024-03-17T18:11:03","slug":"karachiites-continue-to-suffer-gas-outages-during-sehr-iftar","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pakistaninewspaperlist.com\/news\/karachiites-continue-to-suffer-gas-outages-during-sehr-iftar\/","title":{"rendered":"Karachiites continue to suffer gas outages during Sehr, Iftar"},"content":{"rendered":"<div data-td-block-uid=\"tdi_79\">\n<div class=\"tdb-block-inner td-fix-index\">\n<p><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">KARACHI: Several areas of Karachi experience gas disruptions contrary to the Sui Southern Gas Company\u2019s (SSGC) claims of no load-shedding during Sehr and Iftar, ARY News reported<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">As per the details, gas load-shedding is being carried out in Saddar, Surjani Town, Garden, Nishtar Road, Punjab Town, Lyari, Agra Taj Colony, Khawaja Ajmer Nagri, Malir and other area despite the assertions that there would be no gas load-shedding during Sehr and Iftar.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">SSGC\u2019s Spokesman Salman Ahmed conceded the outage during Sehr and Iftar timing and said that millions of stoves are switched on simultaneously during the timings.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u201cMillions of stoves burning simultaneously reduces the gas pressure, \u201d he added.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Salman Ahmed said that gas load management is being done due to the demand and supply gap. Gas pressure is an issue at the tail-end.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Salman Ahmed said that 90 per cent of the schedule given for Sehr Iftar is being implemented.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The spokesman said that consumers also resort to \u2018illegal\u2019 ways to draw gas by using compressors.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Read More: <a href=\"https:\/\/arynews.tv\/ramzan-no-gas-loadshedding-during-sehr-iftar-says-ssgc\/\">Ramzan: No gas load-shedding during Sehr, Iftar, announces SSGC<\/a><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Earlier on March 7,\u00a0the SSGC announced continued gas supply during Sehr and Iftar times in Ramadan<\/p>\n<p>In a statement, the SSGC announced no load-shedding during Sehr-o-Iftar during the Holy month of Ramzan.
