The Punjab government has sanctioned the reconstruction, repair, and rehabilitation of 16 key roads in Khushab, addressing longstanding infrastructure issues.<\/p>\n

These roads, which have been in a state of disrepair for an extended period, have caused severe travel problems for residents and commuters alike. The project aims to rehabilitate and repair a total length of 313 kilometres of Khushab roads.<\/p>\n

Among the key roads slated for improvement are the Groat Road Langarwala Bridge, Ganjyal Warchha Road, Nowshera Tajaba Road, and several others, representing a comprehensive effort to overhaul the region’s transportation network.<\/p>\n

The approval comes with a hefty price tag, with the allocated budget for these schemes amounting to over Rs8.55 billion.<\/p>\n

Acting on special instructions from Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, Provincial Minister of Communication and Works Punjab Sohaib Ahmad Bharat, and Secretary Communication and Works Punjab Lt (retd) Sohail Ashraf conducted thorough inspections of the various roads in Khushab.<\/p>\n

This hands-on approach reflects the government’s proactive stance towards infrastructure development and underscores the urgency of the situation.<\/p>\n

Speaking to The Express Tribune, Provincial Minister Sahib Ahmad Bharat highlighted Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s directive to complete major communication roads in Punjab within six months.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis significant investment underscores the government’s commitment to addressing critical infrastructure needs and enhancing the overall quality of life for residents in the Khushab area,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis ambitious timeline signals a concerted effort to expedite infrastructure projects and address longstanding deficiencies in the region’s transportation network.\u201d<\/p>\n

The pointed out that with a total of 841 road construction, repair, and rehabilitation programmes underway, covering an impressive 16,558 kilometres, the government was making strides towards improving connectivity and facilitating smoother travel in Punjab.<\/p>\n

Renowned social figure Malik Mohsin Awan commended the government’s initiative, noting that previous administrations had failed to adequately address the region’s infrastructure challenges.<\/p>\n

The deteriorating condition of these roads had posed significant challenges for residents, exacerbating travel woes and hindering economic development.<\/p>\n

Member of the National Assembly Malik Shakir Bashir Awan expressed gratitude to Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif for prioritising infrastructure development in his constituency.<\/p>\n

He emphasised that the inclusion of many roads in the rehabilitation program was a direct response to public demand, reflecting the government’s commitment to addressing the needs of its constituents.<\/p>\n
