Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sindh, Riffat Mukhtar Raja, the progress of the Sindh Smart Surveillance System (S4) project was discussed, among other matters. The installation of modern cameras at strategic points in the city is slated for completion by next month, per IGP Sindh\u2019s directive, ensuring seamless coordination and support in the process, as per the Sindh Police spokesman on Friday.<\/p>\n

Highlighting the significance of technology, IGP Sindh urged the IT department of Sindh Police to expedite the S4 project\u2019s completion. The installation of specialized cameras at key locations across the province is expected to bolster police actions against criminal activities and facilitate vehicle tracking.<\/p>\n

During the briefing, it was disclosed that modern cameras have been installed at 18 locations across Sindh, including Karachi, with operational facilities active at 16 sites in addition to M-9.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, new cameras will soon be operational in selected locations in other districts of Sindh. IGP Sindh also visited the Command and Control Center established for the S4 project, stressing the importance of technological advancements in law enforcement.<\/p>\n

The meeting was attended by key officials, including Additional IGP Karachi, DIGPs of Headquarters, IT, Establishment, AIGPs of IT, Operations, Command and Control Center, CPO, and the Project Director IT.<\/p>\n
