ISLAMABAD: In its initial biweekly evaluation since assuming office, the Shehbaz Sharif-led government has opted to keep the price of petrol steady at Rs279.75 per litre for the upcoming two-week period.<\/p>\n

The Finance Division disclosed that diesel prices have been reduced by Rs1.77 per litre to Rs285.56 per litre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n

Effective from 12 am on March 16 until March 31, these price adjustments were confirmed by the Finance Division.<\/p>\n

Insider sources from the ministry disclosed that kerosene oil prices have been decreased to Rs188.86 per litre following a reduction of Rs1.35 per litre, while the rate of light diesel oil has been slashed by Rs2.12 per litre.<\/p>\n

The current petroleum development levy (PDL) imposed by the government stands at Rs60 per litre for petrol.<\/p>\n

Additionally, consumers bear additional charges of Rs5.69 per litre as IFEM (Internal Freight Equalization Margin), Rs7.87 per litre as OMCs margin, and Rs8.64 per litre as dealers\u2019 margin.<\/p>\n

Similarly, HSD (High-Speed Diesel) consumers are subject to a Rs60 per litre PDL, along with Rs4.24 per litre IFEM, Rs7.87 per litre OMCs margin, and Rs8.64 per litre dealers\u2019 margin.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
