Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan, 81, has been admitted to Kokilaben Hospital in Mumbai, according to a report by News18. Whilst it is not yet known what prompted the veteran actor to seek medical attention, Indian news website LiveMint reported that the actor\u2019s health issues are not heart-related.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cAn angioplasty was performed on a clot in his leg, and not on his heart,\u201d stated an insider. Hours before reports of his hospitalisation, Bachchan, or Big B, posted on X (formerly Twitter), \u2018\u201cin gratitude ever\u201d.<\/p>\n

In a separate post, he shared a promotional video of his Indian Street Premier League (ISPL) team, Majhi Mumbai, and wrote, \u201cAankh kholke dekh lo, kaan lagake sun lo, Majhi Mumbai ki hogi Jai Jaikaar, yeh baat ab maanlo\u201d. (\u201cOpen your eyes, hear if you can, Majhi Mumbai will emerge victorious. It\u2019s time you accept this.\u201d)\u00a0<\/p>\n

On March 14, Majhi Mumbai won against Chennai Singams, owned by Tamil star Suriya, by 58 runs with Abhishek Dalhor’s outstanding performance. Bachchan\u2019s team have made it to the final of the first ISPL – T10 league.<\/p>\n

Bachchan\u2019s epic career in Bollywood will be a very tough act to replicate for anyone hoping to emulate his trajectory. Making his big screen debut in 1969 in Saat Hindustani, the star continues to thrive in the film industry to this day. The megastar will soon appear in Kalki 2898 AD, directed by Nag Ashwin, known for his directorial works such as Yevade Subramanyam and Mahanati.\u00a0<\/p>\n
