Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar has called for the formation of an international alliance to keep in check the \u201crough behaviour\u201d of India after the murder<\/a> of a Sikh leader in Canada left relations<\/a> between New Delhi and Ottawa in tatters.<\/p>\n Addressing a news conference at the Pakistan Mission in New York on Friday, the prime minister gave examples of how Pakistan had been a victim of such state-sponsored terrorism<\/a> and had shared evidence<\/a> at different global and multilateral forums about the role of the Indian state.<\/p>\n Terming it as a first-of-its-kind event after World War I, Kakar said an Asian country staged a murder on Canadian soil and its impacts were being felt across the Western countries who now realised how India was persecuting<\/a> its minorities like Christians, Sikhs, and Muslims.<\/p>\n He also gave an example of how the state of Pakistan \u2019effectively responded\u201c to the Jaranwala incident<\/a> but a similar incident like the Manipur violence<\/a> saw the Indian state act as a \u201cspectator\u201d and \u201caccomplice\u201d in the violence<\/a> that killed hundreds of people.<\/p>\n The premier added that he as well as Chief justice of Pakistan Qazi Faez Isa who was yet to assume the role, visited<\/a> Jaranwala and tried to mitigate the situation.<\/p>\n PM Kakar stated that the persecution of Muslims being carried out in India-Occupied Kashmir was aptly described as \u201cgenocide\u201d, which he also mentioned<\/a> in his address at the 78th UN General Assembly a day ago.<\/p>\n He stated that thousands of Kashmiris had been killed and women were raped, besides the extrajudicial killing of innocent Kashmiris.<\/p>\n PM Kakar also termed his discussion with the IMF managing director very constructive<\/a>, adding that he hoped that the upcoming mandated government would carry on the economic plan.<\/p>\n IMF \u2018very appreciative\u2019 of govt\u2019s steps<\/h2>\n
