{"id":71453,"date":"2024-03-15T09:32:03","date_gmt":"2024-03-15T09:32:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pakistaninewspaperlist.com\/news\/pti-founders-interim-bail-extended-in-jinnah-house-attack-case\/"},"modified":"2024-03-15T09:32:03","modified_gmt":"2024-03-15T09:32:03","slug":"pti-founders-interim-bail-extended-in-jinnah-house-attack-case","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pakistaninewspaperlist.com\/news\/pti-founders-interim-bail-extended-in-jinnah-house-attack-case\/","title":{"rendered":"PTI founder\u2019s interim bail extended in Jinnah House attack case"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p><strong>LAHORE: An anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Friday extended the interim bail of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder and former prime minister Imran Khan in Jinnah House attack case, ARY News reported.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As per details, the ATC judge Arshad Javed heard the interim bail pleas in three cases including Jinnah House attack.<\/p>\n<p>The court extended the interim bail till March 22 and told the PTI founder Imran Khan\u2019s lawyer Salman Safdar to present arguments at the next hearing.<\/p>\n<p><div class=\"ast-oembed-container \" style=\"height: 100%;\"><iframe title=\"Bani PTI ki zamanat me tausee - \ud835\udc00\ud835\udc11\ud835\udc18 \ud835\udc01\ud835\udc2b\ud835\udc1e\ud835\udc1a\ud835\udc24\ud835\udc22\ud835\udc27\ud835\udc20 \ud835\udc0d\ud835\udc1e\ud835\udc30\ud835\udc2c\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/tiDZQzAXaCo?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, Punjab home department banned meetings with the PTI founder in Adiala Jail, citing security threats.<\/p>\n<p>The home department has imposed ban on meetings for two weeks the sources within the Punjab home department earlier said, while media coverage is also prohibited in front of Adiala Jail\u2019s gate no-5.<\/p>\n<p>The security officers stated that media coverage has not been allowed and directed that the media teams should stay 2km away from the jail.<\/p>\n<p><strong>May 9 events<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Violent clashes broke out across Pakistan after the former prime minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf founder Imran Khan were arrested at the Islamabad High Court (IHC).<\/p>\n<p>The protests were held in remote and major cities as the party workers were agitated due to their chairman\u2019s arrest, with Balochistan, Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Islamabad summoning the armed forces to ensure law and order.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Related:<a href=\"https:\/\/arynews.tv\/imran-khan-punjab-bans-meetings-with-pti-founder-in-adiala-jail\/\"> Punjab home department bans meetings with PTI founder in Adiala Jail<\/a><\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>Army installations and Corps Commander\u2019s house in Lahore, also known as Jinnah House, came under attack during a protest by PTI workers.<\/p>\n<p>It is pertinent to mention here that former prime minister is currently in Adiala Jail, where he is incarcerated in Toshakhana, Cipher and illegal nikah case.<\/p>\n<p>Imran Khan has been facing a number of legal challenges since his ouster in April 2022 through a no-confidence motion.
