ISLAMABAD \u2013 The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted rainfall of varying intensities with snowfall over the hills for Islamabad, Rawalpindi and parts of Pakistan on Wednesday evening\/night and Thursday.<\/p>\n

As per the synoptic situation, a westerly wave prevails over upper\/central parts of Pakistan.<\/p>\n

Under these conditions, rain-wind\/thunderstorms, snowfall over the hills and isolated hailstorms are likely in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, upper Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan on Wednesday evening\/night.<\/p>\n

On Thursday and Friday, light rain-wind\/thunderstorms with snowfall over the hills are expected at isolated places in Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan. Cold and dry weather is expected elsewhere in the country.<\/p>\n

Islamabad\u2019s minimum temperatures will likely remain between 08-10 degrees Celsius on Thursday and Friday.<\/p>\n

Rawalpindi\u2019s minimum temperatures will likely remain between 11-13 C on Thursday and Friday.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, rain-wind\/thunderstorms occurred at isolated places in upper Sindh, northern Balochistan, central\/southern Punjab, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan during the last 24 hours.<\/p>\n

Balochistan:<\/strong> Quetta (City 13, Samungli 11), Kalat 11, Zhob 05, Khuzdar 04, Sibbi 03, Zhob, Panjgur 01<\/p>\n

Punjab:<\/strong> Rawalpindi (Chaklala 07, Shamsabad 03), Murree 08 , Islamabad (Airport 07, Zero Point, Golra 03, Saidpur 02), Attock 04, Sahiwal, Toba Tek Singh, Faisalabad, Chakwal 02, Multan (Airport, City) and Layyah 01<\/p>\n

Leh remained the coldest place in the country where the temperature dropped 07 C below freezing.<\/p>\n

In Islamabad, minimum temperature was recorded at 11 C. Relative humidity during the morning was recorded at 70 per cent.<\/p>\n

In Rawalpindi, minimum temperature was recorded at 14 C. Relative humidity during the morning was recorded at 61 per cent.<\/p>\n
