Hollywood actress Meryl Streep\u2019s character Donna Sheridan from her critically acclaimed 2008 film \u2018Mamma Mia<\/em>\u2018 has been voted as the favourite movie mother.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

British television channel ITV conducted a poll to decide the favourite movie mums with 20 choices for Oscars 2024 celebrations. Donna Sheridan, played by Meryl Streep, was the clear favourite with 24 per cent of the votes.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Morticia Addams (Anjelica Huston) from the \u2018Addams Family Values<\/em>\u2018 was the first runner-up with 23 per cent whereas \u2018<\/span>Terminator<\/span><\/em>\u2018 franchise protagonist Sarah Conner (Linda Hamilton) and Miss Honey (Ember Davidtz) from \u2018Matilda<\/em>\u2018 got 22 per cent votes each.<\/span><\/p>\n

Maria Von Trapp, played by Julie Andrews, from \u2018<\/span>The Sound of Music<\/span><\/em>\u2018 and Sally Field\u2019s character Mrs Gump from \u2018<\/span>Forrest Gump<\/span><\/em>\u2018 secured 20 and 18 per cent of the votes respectively.<\/span><\/p>\n

Sally Field\u2019s another character Miranda Hillard from \u2018<\/span>Mrs Doubtfire<\/span><\/em>\u2018 bagged 16 per cent of the votes. Lorraine McFly, essayed by Lea Thomson in \u2018<\/span>Back To The Future<\/span><\/em>\u2018 secured 12 per cent votes.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Mrs Robinson (Anne Robinson) from \u2018<\/span>The Graduate<\/span><\/em>\u2018 got 11 per cent votes whereas Evelyn Abbott (Emily Blunt) from \u2018<\/span>A Quiet Place<\/span><\/em>\u2018 and Ellen Ripley (Sigourney Weaver) of the \u2018<\/span>Alien<\/span><\/em>\u2018 both bagged 10 per cent votes.<\/span><\/p>\n
