Ramadan 2024 Crescent Moon to Emerge by 2pm on Sunday: PMD<\/p>\n<\/figure>\n<\/div>\n

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD<\/a>) has forecasted that the Ramadan moon will appear at 2pm on March 10 (Sunday).<\/p>\n

According to the Met Office, the moon\u2019s age will be more than 28 hours at the time of sighting on March 11, increasing the likelihood of its sighting on Monday.<\/p>\n

Traditionally, the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee will gather in Islamabad, along with zonal committees in their respective areas, to receive and evaluate moon sighting reports and announce its sighting.<\/p>\n

During this holy month observed with great religious devotion, millions of Pakistanis and billions of Muslims worldwide will fast from dawn till sunset, with fasting durations ranging from 12 to 17 hours depending on geographical locations.<\/p>\n

On March 11, cloudy weather is expected in central and upper parts of Sindh due to the influence of a western wave, while southeastern Sindh and Balochistan are likely to remain cloudy as well.<\/p>\n

Similarly, the upper regions of the country will experience cloudy conditions due to the western wave, making moon sighting less favorable, according to the Met Office.<\/p>\n

In Karachi, the weather is predicted to be partly cloudy today and tomorrow, with westerly winds entering Balochistan and thunderstorms expected in various areas, including Turbat, Kech, Jeoni, Ormara, Pasni, Lasbela, Awaran, and Kalat.<\/p>\n

Additionally, a chance of rain is forecasted in Jamshoro, Dadu, Larkana, and Qamber Shahdadkot in the coming days.<\/p>\n
