Bollywood star Aamir Khan\u2019s much-talked-about film \u2018Sitaare Zameen Par\u2019<\/em> will reportedly shed light on Down Syndrome.<\/strong><\/p>\n

As per the reports from Indian entertainment outlets, Aamir Khan will have a discussion started around yet another stigmatized social issue, Down Syndrome \u2013 a genetic condition, where a person is born with an extra chromosome, which can affect the brain and body development in them.<\/p>\n

Quoting a source close to the \u2018Laal Singh Chadha\u2019<\/em> actor, a publication reported, \u201cJust like Taare Zameen Par<\/em>, Aamir Khan wanted to bring focus on another condition that gets stigmatised in our society through Sitaare Zameen Par<\/em>. That\u2019s when he found a heartfelt story that sheds light on Down Syndrome and what people dealing with that go through.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cHe wants to handle the subject very sensitively and create an impact that makes people suffering from the syndrome be treated as equals,\u201d the person added.<\/p>\n

The reports also suggest that actor Genelia D\u2019Souza will star opposite Khan in the title, slated to hit theatres on Christmas this year.<\/p>\n
