Bollywood A-lister Alia Bhatt once again made headlines for the wrong reasons and was dubbed \u2018hypocrite\u2019 by netizens, after her new look at a recent Gucci event.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Bollywood star and global ambassador of Gucci, Alia Bhatt attended the luxury fashion brand\u2019s event in Mumbai recently. For the outing, the \u2018Gangubai Kathiawadi\u2019<\/em> actor sported a sleek black pantsuit, styled with a statement bag from the brand and a chunky gold necklace.<\/p>\n

While the brand mentioned it only as a \u2018black leather\u2019 bag on the website, netizens did some work and found out that Bhatt sported a $2800 \u2018calf leather\u2019 bag, made of \u2018calfskin\u2019, sourced from cows as young as three years old.<\/p>\n

The development came weeks after the release of the actor\u2019s debut web series as an executive producer, the wildlife crime thriller \u2018Poacher\u2019<\/em>, about illegal ivory smuggling, and has left netizens infuriated.<\/p>\n

Reacting to the Reddit post about the bag\u2019s details, a social user wrote, \u201cThe least she could have done is not carry a calf leather bag less than two weeks after promoting the movie.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cBefore people come at me, yes, I\u2019m aware that Gucci provides her with a certain number of options to choose from, and they might not have provided her with any non-leather bags. However, she\u2019s Alia Bhatt, not an influencer that does not have the ability to refuse\/demand other options. I know that she gets a lot of unnecessary hate but like\u2026 she also does dumb things like this on the regular,\u201d the commentator added.<\/p>\n

Another wrote, \u201cThis could have been avoided by NOT carrying that bag. At least not in public. Be a hypocrite like everyone else, but at least be smart enough to do it behind the camera.\u201d<\/p>\n
