Veteran filmmaker Shekhar Kapur revealed he was once offered a whopping sum to make a sequel of his cult classic \u2018Mr India\u2019<\/em>.<\/strong><\/p>\n

In a recent session on the micro-blogging site X, previously termed Twitter,\u00a0British Indian filmmaker Shekhar Kapur mentioned that he was offered a hefty budget of INR300 crore to do the sequel of one of his best films, \u2018Mr India\u2019<\/em>, starring Anil Kapoor and Sridevi.<\/p>\n

Speaking about the overwhelming response and monumental success of Shahrukh Khan\u2019s recent Box Office hit \u2018Jawan\u2019<\/em>, Kapur came across a fan\u2019s tweet, who believed that the true testament of a film being great is viewers having a \u2018revisiting feeling\u2019 rather than fans\u2019 service and rejoice.<\/p>\n

In response to the criticism, Kapur revealed a rare known fact about \u2018Mr India 2\u2019<\/em>, which was seemingly announced in 2011, but never entered into production. He wrote on X, \u201cIt\u2019s film that emotionally move generations, that define an age. Those are the important films. And <\/span>@iamsrk <\/span>has done quite a few.\u201d<\/p>\n
