In a recent conversation <\/a>with host Sidra Iqbal, Pakistani actor Navin Waqar delved into the pervasive judgmental nature of society, shedding light on the challenges and consequences of being in the public eye. Navin expressed her concerns about the tendency of people to revel in the downfall of others, stating, \u201cI don\u2019t know what it is about people in general but they enjoy watching someone fall from grace.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cThey enjoy watching people take that dive. They derive pleasure from it, they like it when they are maligning someone. So in that sense, we are a very judgmental society,\u201d the 39-year-old contended.<\/p>\n

Highlighting the societal inclination to accept one side of a story without considering the complete narrative, Navin lamented the lack of a fair hearing. \u201cWe do not hear both sides of a story. We listen to one side of the story and we say, we know everything there\u2019s needed to know. You don\u2019t know it,\u201d she added. \u201cYou don\u2019t know what the other side of the coin is like. As long as you don\u2019t see, don\u2019t evaluate it. I don\u2019t think people even want to.\u201d<\/p>\n

As per Navin, \u201cPeople don\u2019t think about it because they have what they want. A spicy problem. So why would they listen to someone who wants to rob it of the spice.\u201d The actor also emphasised the sensationalism surrounding news and its rapid dissemination without fact-checking. She insisted, \u201cIf a piece of news is making rounds, they make sure the same news is spread everywhere. They are not going to stop and say this news isn\u2019t true.\u201d<\/p>\n

Sharing her personal experience with online trolling and its aftermath, Navin revealed a poignant lesson she gleaned from the adversity. She said her experiences taught her that tough times tell you who your friend is whilst the good moments will invite many only pretending to be a friend.<\/p>\n

Earlier in January, Navin sat down for an introspective conversation with host Adnan Faisal to talk about the intricacies of her personal and professional life, offering fans a rare glimpse into her thoughts and experiences.<\/p>\n

She began by sharing a profound insight into her emotional journey, expressing how her heartbreaks have shaped her. She divulged, \u201cMy heart broke terribly, and when I put it back together, I took out a lot of things from it. Like, don’t trust everyone blindly…I do not have it in me to withstand tragedy. I’m a very sensitive person.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIf I fight with my friend, I feel like my world is ending, till we’re friends again…I can’t sleep, I get nightmares, and I have this fear: what if I lose that person?\u201d Navin continued. \u201cMashAllah, I’m blessed enough to have the kind of people in my life, the absence of whom I simply can’t imagine. When you mend your heart after a breakup, you do take out things from it, like trust. You have to prove yourself to me…Anyone can use words, words don’t work anymore.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
