QUETTA:<\/strong> The newly elected chief minister of Balochistan, Mir Sarfaraz Bugti termed climate change, terrorism and worst governance as major challenges before his government. Mr. Bugti was sworn in as the chief minister of Balochistan on Saturday.<\/p>\n

Governor Balochistan, Malik Abdul Wali Kakar administered the oath to the newly elected CM of Balochistan at the Governor\u2019s House. Chairman of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), Bilawal Bhutto Zardari also participated in the oath-taking ceremony. The Governor\u2019s House was jam-packed with the supporters of the PPP on the occasion.<\/p>\n

Disgruntled Baloch Leaders Should Work Within Constitution<\/h2>\n

Sarfaraz Bugti said talks would be held with disgruntled Baloch leaders within the parameters of the constitution. However, he said action would be taken against those elements playing with the lives of innocent people. If someone adopts a violent way then the State will exercise its authority, he said.<\/p>\n

CM Balochistan stated that terrorism can be eradicated through reconciliation and deterrence. \u201cWe have been asking the disgruntled leaders to join the peace process and come in the mainstream\u201d, Mr. Bugti mentioned.<\/p>\n

Sarfaraz Bugti declared the promotion of education and health sectors as his top priorities and said that revolutionary steps would be taken to address these issues. He said out-of-school children would be brought to schools and that all efforts would be made to improve schooling and health sectors.<\/p>\n

Bugti Announces To Visit Gwadar Affectees<\/h2>\n

Regarding the financial issues of the province, Sarfaraz Bugti said that the taxation net would be expanded in Balochistan. \u201cThe revenue of the province would be expanded\u201d, he said.<\/p>\n

As a chief minister of Balochistan, my first visit would be to Gwadar, he announced. CM\u2019s announcement came after the port city of the country completely flooded after flash floods unleashed by torrential rains recently.<\/p>\n

\u201cI will be visiting Gwadar to review the rescue and relief operations in Gwadar\u201d, Sarfaraz Bugti stated. He said the provincial government was committed to rehabilitating all floods-affected people in Gwadar and other parts of Mekran.<\/p>\n
