KARACHI: The Pakistan People\u2019s Party (PPP) has nominated Saifullah Dharejo from Ghotki and Jacobabad\u2019s Aslam Abro as its candidates for two vacant seats of Senate from Sindh.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The party has announced nominations on two seats vacated after Nisar Khuhro and Jam Mehtab Dahar elected as the members of Sindh Assembly.<\/p>\n

The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has announced the schedule for the upcoming Senate by-election on six vacant general seats.<\/p>\n

As per the schedule, the elections will be held on March 14. The nomination papers for the vacant Senate seats can be submitted until March 3 (tomorrow).<\/p>\n

The scrutiny of these nomination papers is slated to take place by March 5, resulting in the final list of eligible candidates who will be contesting for the Senate seats.<\/p>\n

The election commission has nomination returning officers for election on six Senate seats including one in Islamabad, two seats of Sindh and three in Balochistan.<\/p>\n

Special Secretary to the election commission Zafar Iqbal will be returning officer in Islamabad, provincial election commissioner Sharifullah will be RO for Sindh\u2019s two seats and Balochistan\u2019s election commissioner Fareed Afridi will be RO for three Senate seats of the province.<\/p>\n

The polling for the by-election will take place on March 14, from 9 am to 4 pm.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
