{"id":64777,"date":"2024-02-26T20:38:04","date_gmt":"2024-02-26T20:38:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pakistaninewspaperlist.com\/news\/aima-baig-breaks-silence-on-shahbaz-shigri-split\/"},"modified":"2024-02-26T20:38:04","modified_gmt":"2024-02-26T20:38:04","slug":"aima-baig-breaks-silence-on-shahbaz-shigri-split","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pakistaninewspaperlist.com\/news\/aima-baig-breaks-silence-on-shahbaz-shigri-split\/","title":{"rendered":"Aima Baig breaks silence on Shahbaz Shigri split"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p><strong>Singer Aima Baig opened up on her split from ex-fiance Shahbaz Shigri for the first time and the reason behind the decision.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Watch ARY News live on\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/live.arynews.tv\/hq\/\">live.arynews.tv<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In her recent outing on actor-host Ahmad Ali Butt\u2019s podcast <em>\u2018Excuse Me\u2019<\/em>, Aima Baig spoke about her breakup with Shahbaz Shigri and revealed it was a mutual decision of both the celebrities involved.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere were many hidden stories, happening behind the curtains, which people are not aware of, and I wouldn\u2019t even want to disclose them, because there are people, both of our families involved, who I\u2019m not sure would be comfortable [with me sharing],\u201d she said, adding, \u201cIt was both of our decisions but it was mainly my decision to not do it right now, that\u2019s what my decision was but I think that just flipped in the wrong way.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>When asked if both of them were ready while calling off their engagement, Baig added, \u201cI don\u2019t have any resentment, hatred, or grudge towards anybody. I personally think he was ready, I was just going with the flow because I really liked the person that I was with, and it was comforting.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><div class=\"ast-oembed-container \" style=\"height: 100%;\"><iframe title=\"Excuse Me with Ahmad Ali Butt | Ft. Why?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Baig continued to talk about the aftermath of their split and her being portrayed as a villain on social media. \u201cOne thing I haven\u2019t forgotten to this day for which I still carry some resentment is that it was a mutual decision but only one person, one gender was singled out. When you don\u2019t even know the story when you don\u2019t know what was going on between two families or two persons\u2026 I put up one very respectful message which was received very strangely,\u201d Baig expressed.<\/p>\n<p>The singer also got honest about the suicidal thoughts and shared, \u201cI am not going to lie, I was so adamant that I was going to give up my life.
