Pakistan\u2019s A-list film star Humayun Saeed opened up on the long audition process for his role in the Netflix series \u2018The Crown\u2019<\/em>, revealing that he was chosen from eight Indian and Pakistani actors for the part.<\/strong><\/p>\n

In a recent outing on ARY Digital\u2019s talk show,\u00a0\u2018The Knock Knock Show\u2019<\/em> with host Mohib Mirza, Humayun Saeed shared that he went through the whole audition process, to essay Dr Hasnat Khan in \u2018The Crown\u2019<\/em>, despite his stardom.<\/p>\n

\u201cI do watch The Crown<\/em> with great interest, but I couldn\u2019t believe that I got this character in such a hit series. I had no idea where Diana\u2019s character arc was headed in the story, or the fact that since Dr Hasnat was a Pakistani, someone from Pakistan could actually be approached to portray him,\u201d Saeed said. \u201cThat thought even didn\u2019t cross my mind ever in four seasons.\u201d<\/p>\n
