LAHORE \u2013 The Pakistan Peoples\u2019 Party (PPP) would hold an important meeting in Lahore to discuss the appointment of governor in Punjab, the sources close to the development said on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

Makhdoom Syed Ahmed Mahmud, Qamar Zaman Kaira and Nadeem Afzal Chan are the strong candidates for the office of Governor Punjab.<\/p>\n

The sources said that prominent leaders including Nawabzada Sanaullah Zehri, Murad Ali Shah, Saeed Ghani, Qamar Zaman Kaira, and Nadeem Afzal Chan would take part in the meeting while PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari would chair the meeting.<\/p>\n

They said that appointments on other important seats including deputy speaker of the National Assembly and Chairman Senate would also be discussed in the meeting.<\/p>\n

The PPP, according to the sources, was facing some problems regarding nominations for the chief minister office in Balochistan, and decision regarding the said nomination would also be made. The PML-N and some leaders within the PPP have some reservations and objections over nominations.<\/p>\n
