ISLAMABAD \u2013 Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) demanded the office of Governors from Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), the sources privy to the development said on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

The sources said that the PML-N and MQM-P would hold a round of talks in Islamabad on Wednesday (today).<\/p>\n

The meeting would decide whether MQM Pakistan would be given the governorship of Sindh or not.<\/p>\n

The sources said that the MQM-P would insist the demand of Governor\u2019s post in Sindh during the talks.<\/p>\n

\u201cNo alliance can be formed with a party that holds 17 seats without any significant position,\u201d said the sources.<\/p>\n

The MQM-P, they said, would discuss the local government systems and constitutional amendments first, and then the decision to participate in the cabinet would be made.<\/p>\n

On Tuesday late night, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and Pakistan Peoples\u2019 Party (PPP) held a press conference and announced that they reached an agreement to form governments in Punjab and the center. The PML-N accepted the demands of the PPP after six rounds of talks.<\/p>\n

Asif Ali Zardari would be made the president while Shehbaz Sharif would be the next prime minister.<\/p>\n

On this occasion, Shehbaz Sharif said, \u201cIt is an honor for me to be nominated for the position of Prime Minister. Our numbers are complete to form a new government. We will move forward with all allies, including MQM, PML-Q. Our intention was that if the independent candidate has enough numbers, they should form the government. Then they will play their role in the opposition, but they do not have the required numbers,\u201d.<\/p>\n
