The chief justice read the email in the court saying he was out of country. He travelled to Doha and then Bahrain on a ticket of Qatar Airways on Feb 13.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is strange, you are filing petition on one day and next day you leave the country,\u201d Justice Isa remarked. \u201cOur branch has confirmed that the email belongs to the same person,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe petitioner has written, he is out of country and requested for withdrawal of the petition,\u201d CJP said. \u201cPetitioner Ali Khan wrote he could not appear in court and annexed boarding pass, ticket and Bahrain travel papers with email,\u201d Justice Isa said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAccording to the travel documents, petitioner has travelled to Bahrain via connecting flight from Doha\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Additional Attorney General during the hearing told the court that the police went to the house of petitioner Ali Khan, while a notice was also sent to him via the ministry of defence. \u201cAli Khan has not been at home and the notice has been pasted at the gate of his house,\u201d AAG said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWho is Ali Khan,\u201d Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa asked the government lawyer. \u201cHe is a former brigadier and was court-martialed in Year 2012,\u201d AAG replied.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><script type=\"rocketlazyloadscript\">\n  window.fbAsyncInit = function() {\n    FB.init({\n      appId      : '161345524510473',\n      cookie     : true,\n      xfbml      : true,\n      version    : 'v3.0'\n    });\n    FB.AppEvents.logPageView();   \n  };\n  (function(d, s, id){\n     var js, fjs = d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0];\n     if (d.getElementById(id)) {return;}\n     js = d.createElement(s); js.id = id;\n     js.src = \"https:\/\/connect.facebook.net\/en_US\/sdk.js\";\n     fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js, fjs);\n   }(document, 'script', 'facebook-jssdk'));\n<\/script><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court of Pakistan on Wednesday dismissed petition seeking cancellation of the election and imposed Rs. five lacs fine on the petitioner, ARY News reported.
