A man who had gone to the court of the additional district and sessions judge to seek interim bail was shot dead allegedly by an opponent.<\/span><\/p>\n

Two other persons also sustained gunshot wounds.<\/span><\/p>\n

Stray bullets also hit the windows of the car of the additional sessions judge. <\/span><\/p>\n

The firing caused panic in the court leading to a stampede. <\/span><\/p>\n

Police personnel stationed at the gate of the court arrested the suspect with the weapon while the body and the injured were shifted to a hospital.<\/span><\/p>\n

Police said the suspect, Younis, allegedly opened fire on three of his opponents who had appeared in the court of the Additional District and Sessions Judge, Rafaqat Ali.<\/span><\/p>\n

Mohammad Jalal, 30, died on the spot while Rashid Ahmed and Mohammad Hussain were injured in the incident. <\/span><\/p>\n

Upon receiving information about the incident, Rescue 1122 workers and a heavy police contingent reached the spot. <\/span><\/p>\n

Crime scene unit collected evidence from the spot and immediately shifted the injured to the Trauma Centre of the Allama Iqbal Teaching Hospital.<\/span><\/p>\n

Police said that a case had been registered against Jalal and Rashid Ahmed at the Kala Police Station. <\/span><\/p>\n

The two persons had gone to the court to seek interim bail in connection with the same case. <\/span><\/p>\n

Police said that the suspect, Younis, had hidden a pistol in an envelope. <\/span><\/p>\n

As soon as he saw his opponents, he allegedly opened fire on them. <\/span><\/p>\n

The suspect tried to escape, but he was caught by the policemen deployed at the gate of the court who handed him over to the Civil Lines Police Station. <\/span><\/p>\n

RPO Sajjad Hasan Khan took notice of the firing incident in the court premises and sought a report from the District Police Officer of Dera Ghazi Khan.<\/span><\/p>\n

DPO Syed Hasnain Haider, along with SP Bakhtiar Ahmed, visited the crime scene and reviewed the security in the court premises. <\/span><\/p>\n

The DPO appointed SP Bakhtiar Ahmed inquiry officer and ordered him to submit a report in the next 48 hours. <\/span><\/p>\n

A man and a woman were shot dead allegedly by the opposing party as they appeared before a local court in Lahore in the month of July this year.<\/span><\/p>\n

The victims were identified by authorities as Sughra Bibi and Muhammad Amin.<\/span><\/p>\n

They had appeared in the Lahore session court ahead of a hearing when armed men opened fire on them. <\/span><\/p>\n

The victims had been in court due to an ongoing case where three members of their family had been killed allegedly over a property dispute.<\/p>\n
