LAHORE \u2013 The University of Health Sciences (UHS) has approved the allocation of up to five per cent of seats in 4-year BS programs offered on-campus as well as in affiliated institutions for dispensers and health technicians with diplomas in allied health from Punjab Medical Faculty (PMF).<\/p>\n

Alongside these reserved seats, diploma holders will have the opportunity to apply for open merit seats.<\/p>\n

The decision was reached during the 29th meeting of the UHS Board of Studies in Allied Health Sciences, chaired by Vice Chancellor Professor Ahsan Waheed Rathore. The proposal to reserve seats for diploma holders originated from the Secretary of, the Punjab Medical Faculty, who requested the allocation of seats in BS programs for individuals with diplomas in eight different disciplines. It\u2019s worth noting that diploma holders from Punjab Medical Faculty receive equivalence to their diploma in FSc Medical Technology from the Inter Board Coordination Commission (IBCC).<\/p>\n

The board has decided to admit candidates into BS programs based on their relevant diploma qualifications. This decision allows dispensers to pursue BS in Emergency and Intensive Care, medical lab technicians in BS Medical Laboratory Technology, operation theatre technicians in BS Operation Theater Technology, physiotherapy technicians in Doctor of Physical Therapy, and cardiac technicians in BS Cardiac Perfusion.<\/p>\n
