ISLAMABAD \u2013 Following the general elections, which occurred five days ago, major political parties are still in the process of finalizing a power-sharing formula.<\/p>\n

The sources said that the efforts to form a coalition government at the federal level persist, marked by ongoing political meetings and consultations.<\/p>\n

The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) refuted claims of power-sharing dialogues with the PPP.<\/p>\n

Marriyum Aurangzeb clarified that the party has not yet solidified decisions regarding prime ministerial and chief ministerial positions, with consultations among allied parties ongoing.<\/p>\n

She emphasized the absence of discussions on power-sharing in current discourse. Nevertheless, consultations regarding collective progression have been ongoing, and any decisions made will be the outcome of collaborative deliberation and announced accordingly.<\/p>\n

In a session of the Pakistan People\u2019s Party\u2019s (PPP) Central Executive Committee held yesterday, no definitive decisions concerning power participation were reached. The Committee will reconvene today at 3 PM.<\/p>\n

After the Islamabad session, Sherry Rehman emphasized that conclusive resolutions are pending. The PPP intends to establish a contact committee to engage with all political factions, with member names slated for announcement today.<\/p>\n

Expressing apprehensions about the election process across all four provinces, Faisal Kareem Kundi indicated that numerous proposals were deliberated upon during the meeting, with a final verdict anticipated today.<\/p>\n

The recent reports suggest that a power-sharing framework between the PML-N and the PPP has been drafted at the national level. Both parties have concurred on two fundamental aspects within this framework.<\/p>\n

The initial phase entails the party with the highest seat count holding the prime ministerial position for 3 years, while in the subsequent phase, the alternative party will assume the role for 2 years. Additionally, the PPP has pledged support for Maryam Nawaz\u2019s candidacy for the post of Punjab chief minister.<\/p>\n
