Renowned singer Katy Perry shocked fans with her sudden departure from the critically acclaimed reality show \u2018<\/span>American Idol<\/span><\/em>\u2018.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

The \u2018<\/span>Hot n Cold<\/span><\/em>\u2018 and \u2018<\/span>Firework<\/span><\/em>\u2018 hitmaker made the announcement on the critically acclaimed talk show Jimmy Kimmel Live.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI think this probably will be my last show, my last season for \u2018Idol,’\u201d Kerry Perry was quoted saying in a report. \u201cI mean, I love \u2018Idol\u2019 so much. It\u2019s connected me with the heart of America, but I feel like I need to go out and feel that pulse to my own beat. You what I\u2019m saying, Jimmy?\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Katy Perry joined \u2018<\/span>American Idol<\/span><\/em>\u2018 with fellow superstars Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie as a judge after ABC revived the music show in 2018.<\/span><\/p>\n

She did not rule out the possibility of returning to the show.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI love the show so much but I want to see the world. Maybe I\u2019ll come back if they have me one day,\u201d she concluded.<\/span><\/p>\n

However, the her announcement comes after reports of her and her long-time boyfriend Orlando Bloom\u2019s relationship going through a rift made rounds. The couple, who are parents to a daughter, are living separately.<\/span><\/p>\n
