RAWALPINDI- Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Founder Imran Khan and former Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi\u2019s bail petitions have been accepted in 12 cases related to the May 9 incidents.<\/p>\n

A local Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) passed the orders and directed the relevant authorities to release Imran Khan and Shah Mahmood Qureshi.<\/p>\n

During the hearing at Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi, the ATC prosecutor requested the court to adjourn the hearing of the case, but the court rejected the plea, and based on the record, decided on the bail application.<\/p>\n

Similarly, Pakistan AwamibMuslim League\u2019s leader Sheikh Rasheed\u2019s bail was also accepted in the May 9 cases.<\/p>\n

The ATC in Rawalpindi, in the case related to May 9, approved the bail of former Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid.<\/p>\n

ATC Judge Malik Aijaz Asif heard the case and ordered to release Sheikh Rasheed against the surety bond of Rs. 200,000.<\/p>\n

It should be noted that the bail of Sheikh Rashid Ahmed, the former federal minister, was already granted in the New Town police station case by the court, after which he was arrested from outside the court chamber, and he was nominated in the case of burning down the office of sensitive agencies, and nowadays, he is in Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, the Anti-Terrorism Court in Rawalpindi conducted the hearing of 12 cases related to attacks on military installations on May 9, and Judge Ijaz Asif started the jail trial of nominated 498 accused including Imran Khan and Shah Mahmood Qureshi.<\/p>\n

However, Imran Khan and Shah Mahmood Qureshi were not presented from Adiala Jail for attendance before the court.<\/p>\n

The registrar went to them for the attendance of former Prime Minister and former Foreign Minister, while all the accused who were on bail reached the Adiala Jail Community Hall courtroom for attendance.<\/p>\n
