He maintained a constructive approach throughout the meeting.<\/p>\n<p>Shami Silva, the President of Sri Lankan cricket, praised Jay Shah\u2019s leadership and proposed extending his presidency for an additional year. Shah responded diplomatically, stating that they had no objections, but it should be recorded in the minutes that Sri Lanka has ceded its presidency to Jay Shah for a second year to avoid any confusion when Pakistan\u2019s turn comes next year.<\/p>\n<p>It has been agreed that a representative from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bolnews.com\/pakistan\/2024\/01\/pcb-forms-governing-board-as-per-constitution\/\">PCB<\/a> will assume the presidency of the Asian Cricket Council for a two-year term starting from January of the following year.<\/p>\n<p>Interestingly, there was a notable delay in distributing the minutes of the previous meeting.
