Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Lahore Bilal Siddique Kamyana held a meeting with families of police martyrs at the Capital City Police Office, here on Monday. Polices Ghazis also participated in the meeting along with families of martyrs, while SSP Admin Atif Nazir and other relevant officers were also present. The CCPO said a series of meetings resumed on the special instructions of inspector general of police (IGP) Punjab, and the purpose of the meetings was to solve problems facing the families. Kamyana said scholarship had been arranged for special children of police employees . \u201cWe all are like a family and solving problems of families was one of top priorities of the police department,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Moreover, a sweeping operation against electricity theft is currently underway, led by the Lahore Police. Capital City Police Officer Lahore, Bilal Siddique Kamyana disclosed that this year, a total of 7,899 cases have been officially registered against 8506 individuals involved in such illegal activities. Providing further specifics, he revealed that within the city division, 1596 First Information Reports (FIRs) have been lodged against 1641 offenders charged with electricity theft.<\/p>\n

In the Cantt Division, 1988 FIRs have been filed against 2157 culprits, and in Civil Lines, 659 cases have been registered against 779 individuals. CCPO Lahore, Bilal Siddique Kamyana, emphasized that the crackdown on electricity thieves is being ex\u00acecuted without bias across the provincial capital. He reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to adopting a policy of zero tolerance towards such criminal activities. Kamyana underscored the col\u00aclaborative effort between law enforcement and relevant departments to curtail electricity theft, deeming those responsible as ad\u00acversaries to the nation\u2019s welfare.<\/p>\n

He further iterated that those pilfering electricity funds from the nation\u2019s treasury are, in essence, undermin\u00acing the well-being of the entire popu\u00aclace. Kamyana stressed that leniency towards such individuals is unwar\u00acranted; the operation will persist without favorit\u00acism.<\/p>\n
