Bollywood film \u2018King<\/em>\u2018, starring Shah Rukh Khan and his daughter Suhana Khan in leading roles, got indefinitely delayed after the former backed out from the project.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

A report by the India showbiz news agency Firstpost stated that the plot of \u2018King\u2019 followed Shah Rukh Khan\u2019s character protecting an orphan girl (Suhana Khan).<\/span><\/p>\n

However, the Sujoy Ghosh directorial was indefinitely delayed.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

A source close to the development told India news agency Times Now that the project would not see the day, especially after the negative criticism on Suhana Khan\u2019s debut film \u2018<\/span>The Archies.<\/span><\/em>\u2018\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The insider added that Shah Rukh Khan has opted out of the project because he doesn\u2019t want his daughter to be compared with her co-stars.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t think that project is happening, not after The Archies,\u201d the source was quoted saying in a report. \u201cSuhana needs to find a project as far removed from her father as possible. Earlier, SRK was tempted to get on camera with his daughter ASAP.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cNow, after \u2018<\/span>The Archies<\/span><\/em>,\u2019 this historic togetherness is gone on the back burner.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Shah Rukh Khan was seen in \u2018<\/span>Pathaan<\/span><\/em>,\u2019 \u2018<\/span>Jawan<\/span><\/em>,\u2019 and \u2018<\/span>Dunki<\/span><\/em>.\u2019 He will reportedly work in Sanjay Leela Bhansali\u2019s movie \u2018<\/span>Inshallah<\/span><\/em>\u2018. Alia Bhatt and Salman Khan have been approached to work in the film as well.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

A source said the renowned filmmaker will announce it in March of this year.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

A source told, \u201cThere have been several speculations about [Sanjay Leela] Bhansali\u2019s next including \u2018<\/span>Baiju Bawra<\/span><\/em>\u2018 and another Pan Indian multi-starrer film, but the director has no such plans and has already started working again on \u2018<\/span>Inshallah<\/span><\/em>.\u2019 The filmmaker has already started the initial preparations and is planning to announce it officially by March. Bhansali plans to start shooting for the film as early as June.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Suhana Khan made her acting debut in Zoya Akhter\u2019s Netflix film \u2018<\/span>The Archies<\/span><\/em>\u2018. The project was critically panned for the acting, story and being a \u201cNepo-Fest\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n
