ISLAMABAD \u2013 The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted more rains with snowfall over the mountains for Islamabad and parts of Pakistan during the next two days.<\/p>\n

According to the synoptic situation, a westerly wave is affecting the western and upper parts of Pakistan.<\/p>\n

It will likely persist in the upper parts of the country during the next few days.<\/p>\n

Under these conditions, rain with snowfall over mountains is expected in Gilgit-Baltistan, Upper Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Pothohar region, Islamabad, Kashmir and surrounding hilly areas on Tuesday evening\/night, Wednesday and Thursday.<\/p>\n

Cold weather is likely elsewhere in the country.<\/p>\n

Snowfall over the upper parts of the country may affect transportation on Tuesday evening\/night and Wednesday.<\/p>\n

Tourists are advised to be cautious.<\/p>\n

Shallow to moderate fog is likely to persist in a few plain areas of Punjab and upper Sindh.<\/p>\n

Islamabad\u2019s minimum temperature will likely remain between 07-09 degrees Celsius on Wednesday and 08-10 C on Thursday.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, mainly cold and partly cloudy weather prevailed in most areas of the country during the last 24 hours.<\/p>\n

However, rain occurred in Kashmir, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pothohar region and Gilgit-Baltistan. Fog\/smog prevailed over plain areas of Punjab and upper Sindh.<\/p>\n

Balochistan: <\/strong>Quetta, Samungli 02<\/p>\n

Gilgit-Baltistan: <\/strong>Gupis 01<\/p>\n

Snowfall (Inches): <\/strong>Malamjabba 02<\/p>\n

Fog\/smog prevailed over plain areas of Punjab and upper Sindh.<\/p>\n

Kalam remained the coldest place in the country where mercury dropped 07 C below freezing.<\/p>\n

In Islamabad, minimum temperature was recorded at 07 C.<\/p>\n

Relative humidity during the morning was recorded at 93 per cent.<\/p>\n
