He was fully committed to reaching his peak fitness and aiming for a medal in the Paris Olympics.<\/p>\n<p>His coach, Salman Butt, informed the local media on Monday that Arshad was doing \u201cfull training.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe is giving his best,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>When asked about Arshad\u2019s mental strength, Butt said: \u201cHe is meeting the expectations.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The authorities have arranged for him to go to England for his right knee treatment and Butt said that he would leave very soon.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe will be able to travel to England in a week,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAfter undergoing treatment in England he will return to undergo rehab for two to three weeks in Pakistan. He will then go to South Africa to get training for five weeks. He will then return home and will undergo one and a half month training here. He will then go to Europe to feature in two to three meets before he gets ready for the Olympics,\u201d Butt revealed.<\/p>\n<p>When asked if <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bolnews.com\/sports\/2023\/08\/afridi-rauf-laud-arshad-nadeems-historic-feat\/\">Arshad<\/a> would have a knee surgery in England, Butt said it was unclear.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEngland-based Dr Bajwa has planned the things and he will share with us. I will also accompany him on England tour for Arshad\u2019s right knee treatment and I will be with him when there is any participation in international meets. I will not go with him to South Africa. You know it is important to accompany him when he undergoes treatment as he will need help. Previously I was not with him when he flew to England for surgery,\u201d Butt said.<\/p>\n<p>Whether he would train in South Africa with the coach who had coached Arshad and Yasir Sultan for two months previously, Butt said it was undecided.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is not yet decided from which coach he will receive training. It depends on the availability. Anyone who is available will train Arshad. It\u2019s a good training destination as javelin throwers from all over the world come there,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>In May 2023, Arshad sustained a right knee injury at the 34th National Games in Quetta.
