ISLAMABAD \u2013 Over one hundred and twenty millions eligible voters are all set to cast vote for National Assembly and four Provincial Assemblies on 8th of next month.<\/p>\n

The political parties are holding public gatherings in order to win support of voters. The candidates are participating in corner meetings to engage with the voters.<\/p>\n

A total of 5,121 candidates are in the race for the National Assembly seats.\u00a0 These include 4,807 male, 312 female and two transgenders.<\/p>\n

For the four provincial assemblies, 12,695 candidates are in the field including 12,123 male, 570 women and two transgenders.<\/p>\n

The elections will be held on two hundred and sixty six general seats of National Assembly and five hundred and ninety three general seats of four provincial assemblies.<\/p>\n

The ECP earlier in the day established 90,675 polling stations for the upcoming general elections to be held on 8th of the next month. According to the ECP, out of the total polling stations, 41, 403 are combined whereas 25,320 are for male and 23,952 for women voters.<\/p>\n

The total number of polling stations in Punjab is 50,944, Sindh 19,006, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 15,697, and Balochistan 5,028.<\/p>\n

Moreover, there will be a total of 2,76,398 polling booths, including 1,47,552 male and 1,28,846 female.<\/p>\n
