The UN has revised the number of people who lost their lives from devastating floods in Libya to 3,958.<\/p>\n

The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs on Saturday said the death toll was 11,300, attributing the figure to the Libyan Red Crescent.<\/p>\n

In a later situation report, however, the agency the updated figure citing the World Health Organization, and said more than 9,000 were still missing.<\/p>\n

“These figures are expected to rise as search-and-rescue crews work tirelessly to find survivors,” it said.<\/p>\n

More than 40,000 people have been displaced across Libya\u2019s northeastern areas by the deadly floods triggered by Storm Daniel just more than a week ago, according to the International Organization for Migration.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
