ISLAMABAD \u2013 The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast more rains for Islamabad and parts of Pakistan during the next two days.<\/p>\n

According to the synoptic situation, a westerly wave is affecting the western and upper parts of Pakistan.<\/p>\n

It will likely persist in the upper parts of the country during the next few days.<\/p>\n

Under these conditions, mainly cold and partly cloudy weather is expected in most areas of the country while cloudy in the upper parts on Monday evening\/night, Tuesday and Wednesday.<\/p>\n

However, rain with snowfall over mountains is expected in Islamabad, Pothohar region, Gilgit-Baltistan, upper Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and Kashmir.<\/p>\n

Snowfall over the upper parts of the country may affect transportation on January 30-31.<\/p>\n

Tourists are advised to be cautious.<\/p>\n

Shallow to moderate fog is likely to persist in a few plain areas of Punjab and upper Sindh.<\/p>\n

Islamabad\u2019s minimum temperature will likely remain between 07-09 degrees Celsius on Tuesday and 08-10 C on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, cold and partly cloudy weather prevailed over most parts of the country during the last 24 hours. However, rainfall occurred in parts of Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.<\/p>\n

Kashmir:<\/strong> Rawalakot 10, Garhidupatta 06, Muzaffarabad (City 05, A\/P 02), Kotli 02<\/p>\n

Punjab:<\/strong> Murree 04, Islamabad (A\/P 01)<\/p>\n

Gilgit-Baltistan:<\/strong> Astore 04, Bagrote, Gupis 01<\/p>\n

Snowfall (Inches): <\/strong>Kalam 10, Malamjabba 08, Astore and Murree 01<\/p>\n

Fog\/smog prevailed over plain areas of Punjab and upper Sindh.<\/p>\n

Kalam remained the coldest place in the country where mercury dropped 06 C below freezing.<\/p>\n

In Islamabad, minimum temperature was recorded at 03 C.<\/p>\n

Relative humidity during the morning was recorded at 48 per cent.<\/p>\n
