PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has asserted that his party, despite facing security threats, stands undeterred refusing to use them as a pretext for delaying elections.<\/p>\n

He said that, unlike other political parties, the PPP cannot be scared or intimidated.<\/p>\n

Addressing a rally in Peshawar on Saturday, Bilawal expressed gratitude to the jiyalas for turning out in large numbers, saying their overwhelming presence served as a powerful response to those attempting to use terrorism and weather as pretexts for delaying elections.<\/p>\n

“The jiyalas have compelled us to participate in the elections. We are the followers of Quaid-e-Awam Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, ready to face any challenge for the sake of our country and its people,” the Bhutto scion declared.<\/p>\n

Highlighting the challenges confronting the nation, Bilawal pointed to the economic quagmire and the looming threat of terrorism. He also lamented the resurgence of terrorists defeated by the Pakistani people.<\/p>\n

He added that the very terrorists whom the people had defeated in a remarkable achievement for Pakistan, surpassing the efforts of the entire world’s forces in Afghanistan, have been reintroduced in the country.<\/p>\n

Addressing societal concerns, Bilawal criticised the PTI and PML-N for fostering a politics of hatred and division and fracturing society. He lamented the transformation of political opposition into personal vendettas, asserting that these practices were detrimental to the nation’s well-being.<\/p>\n

Bilawal underlined the PPP’s commitment to modernise the country, rejecting the regressive politics of the ’90s promoted by rival parties. He stated, “Our manifesto is not a copy-paste; we aim to double wages within five years and provide 300 units of free electricity to deserving citizens.”<\/p>\n

Echoing the philosophy of the late Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, Bilawal announced the PPP’s pledge to build three million houses nationwide, with a focus on regularising temporary housing and granting ownership to women.<\/p>\n

He expressed his dedication to serving the women of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, promising an expansion of the Benazir Income Support Programme and interest-free loans to empower women economically.<\/p>\n

He further reiterated his commitment to steering the PPP towards a progressive and inclusive future, leaving behind the divisive politics of the past.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
