KARACHI: PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari on Saturday accepted PML-N president Shehbaz Sharif\u2019s challenge to invite his party supremo Nawaz Sharif to \u201cinspect Sindh\u201d instead of holding US-style debate \u2013 the former foreign minister asked for, ARY News reported.<\/strong><\/p>\n

With barely two weeks to go for the Feb 8 general elections, a heated war of words continues between the two political parties, PML-N and PPP \u2013 former allies in Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) government.<\/p>\n

Both political parties, since the completion of PDM-led government tenure, are criticising each other over policy issues and governance.<\/p>\n

Recently, PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto challenged PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif to debate anywhere before February 8 to provide voters with crucial insights into their plans.<\/p>\n

Taking to his X handle, formerly known as Twitter, Bilawal said: \u201cI invite the PM candidate of [PML-N] [Nawaz Sharif], to engage in a debate with me anytime, anywhere before Feb 8.\u201d<\/p>\n

Responding to the date, PML-N president Shehbaz Sharif said a political leader wanted to have a debate with Nawaz Sharif. \u201cInstead of the date, he should have invited Nawaz Sharif to inspect Sindh,\u201d the former premier said on X.<\/p>\n

\u201cNawaz Sharif can debate with me in Gambat \u2013 wherein the hospital [Gambat Institute of Medical Sciences] is better if compared to any in Punjab,\u201d he said, noting that the hospital \u2013 built by PPP \u2013 is free of cost.<\/p>\n

He also invited three-time prime minister to visit Tharparkar and inspect its infrastructure. \u201cMina Sahab, debate with me outside Karachi\u2019s NICVD \u2013 where more than 84,000 people of Punjab were treated last year,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
