{"id":52294,"date":"2024-01-25T15:36:05","date_gmt":"2024-01-25T15:36:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/news.pakistaninewspaperlist.com\/islamabad-pakistan-weather-update-scattered-rains-predicted-pakistan-observer\/"},"modified":"2024-01-25T15:36:05","modified_gmt":"2024-01-25T15:36:05","slug":"islamabad-pakistan-weather-update-scattered-rains-predicted-pakistan-observer","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pakistaninewspaperlist.com\/news\/islamabad-pakistan-weather-update-scattered-rains-predicted-pakistan-observer\/","title":{"rendered":"Islamabad, Pakistan weather update; scattered rains predicted &#8211; Pakistan Observer"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<tts-play-button data-id=\"2\" class=\"tts_play_button\"\/><\/p>\n<p>ISLAMABAD \u2013 The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast rainfall of varying intensities for Islamabad and parts of Pakistan on Thursday evening\/night.<\/p>\n<p>As per the synoptic situation, continental air prevails over most parts of Pakistan.<\/p>\n<p>A shallow westerly wave is likely to affect upper parts of the country.<\/p>\n<p>Under these conditions, mainly very cold and partly cloudy weather is expected in most parts of the country on Thursday evening\/night, Friday and Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>However, light rain with light snowfall over mountains is expected in Islamabad, Potohar region, and at isolated places in Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan and upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.<\/p>\n<p>Dense fog\/smog is likely to persist in Islamabad, plain areas of Punjab, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and upper Sindh.<\/p>\n<p>Very cold weather is likely in aforesaid areas due to dense fog.<\/p>\n<p>Islamabad\u2019s minimum temperature will likely remain between 01-03 degrees Celsius on Friday and 02-04 C on Saturday.<br \/>Meanwhile, foggy weather and cold wave persisted in Islamabad and parts of Pakistan during the last 24 hours.<br \/>Freezing weather prevailed in northern areas and north Balochistan.<br \/>Skardu remained the coldest place in the country where mercury dropped 10 C below freezing.<br \/>In Islamabad, the minimum temperature was recorded at 01 C.<br \/>Relative humidity during the evening was recorded at 92 per cent.<br \/>Dense fog\/smog prevailed in Islamabad, Potohar region, and plains of Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and upper Sindh.<br \/>Dense fog\/smog forced the closure of Motorways and disrupted traffic on the National Highway and other inter and intra-city roads.<\/p>\n<p><!-- AI CONTENT END 2 --><\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD \u2013 The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast rainfall of varying intensities for Islamabad and parts of Pakistan on Thursday evening\/night.
