{"id":52268,"date":"2024-01-25T14:11:04","date_gmt":"2024-01-25T14:11:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/news.pakistaninewspaperlist.com\/election-2024-pakistan-cabinet-notifies-army-troop-deployment\/"},"modified":"2024-01-25T14:11:04","modified_gmt":"2024-01-25T14:11:04","slug":"election-2024-pakistan-cabinet-notifies-army-troop-deployment","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pakistaninewspaperlist.com\/news\/election-2024-pakistan-cabinet-notifies-army-troop-deployment\/","title":{"rendered":"Election 2024 Pakistan: Cabinet notifies army troop deployment"},"content":{"rendered":"<div data-td-block-uid=\"tdi_86\">\n<div class=\"tdb-block-inner td-fix-index\">\n<p><strong>ISLAMABAD: The Federal cabinet on Thursday issued an official notification regarding the deployment of Pakistan Army\u2019s personnel across Pakistan to perform duties at sensitive constituencies and polling stations during the general election 2024, ARY News reported.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As per the details, the official notification was issued a day after the federal cabinet approved the deployment of the Pakistan Army and Civil armed officials for security during the upcoming general election.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cUnder Article 245 of the Constitution, the army will be deployed across the country,\u201d the notification stated.<\/p>\n<p>The notification further stated that the military personnel \u2013 deployed outside sensitive polling stations from Feb 05 till Feb 10 \u2013 will serve as a quick response force.<\/p>\n<p>The notification mentioned that the deployment of Army personnel will play a major role in the transparent and peaceful polling process.<\/p>\n<p>The notification further added that the Civil Armed Forces will also be stationed at the Printing Corporation of Pakistan and the Pakistan Post Foundation.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Read More: <a href=\"https:\/\/arynews.tv\/ecp-denies-deferring-feb-08-elections-senate-resolution\/\">ECP denies deferring Feb 08 elections over Senate resolution<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Earlier this month, a Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Shah Khalid was killed in Swabi after unidentified assailants riding a motorcycle opened fire on his car.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, several other leaders including PML-N\u2019s Aslam Buledi, Mohsin Dawar and Senator Kohda Akram Dashti have also come under attack in the ongoing month.<\/p>\n<p>On the other hand, Caretaker Prime Minister (PM) Anwaarul Haq had formed a seven-member committee to ensure smooth conduct of upcoming general elections.
