Inspector General of Police Sindh, Riffat Mukhtar Raja, inaugurated the Traffic Ticketing Management System (TTMS), Traffic Monitoring Cell (TMS), and Traffic Police Cafeteria at the DIGP Traffic Office in Garden, Karachi on Monday. The ceremony included the disposal of 10,000 pressure horns and non-standard number plates seized during a recent traffic campaign.<\/p>\n

Accompanied by Additional IG Karachi, IG Sindh inspected the newly established systems and received a briefing on their operations from DIGP Traffic. Guard of honor welcomed IG Sindh on his arrival, followed by a visit to the traffic police memorial for prayers and Fatiha. In a farewell ceremony for SP Traffic Central, IG Sindh acknowledged and praised the retiring officer\u2019s dedicated service to the Sindh Police. Speaking to the media, IG Sindh emphasized the need for an efficient and effective traffic management and regulatory system, prioritizing measures that benefit the public.<\/p>\n

He highlighted the features of Safe City project, indicating its commencement and the government\u2019s commitment to address traffic-related challenges. IG Sindh stated that the project would not only result in issuing tickets and dropping it at houses but also lead to the impounding of vehicles persistently violating traffic rules. He underscored the importance of immediate vehicle ownership transfer during purchases, calling for coordination between the traffic police and relevant departments.<\/p>\n

DIGP Traffic Karachi shared insights into the police\u2019s priorities and measures against illegal parking, addressing potential traffic issues in the city during the media briefing.<\/p>\n
