He will train at the Gabba tomorrow.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>If Khawaja had been deemed unfit to play in the day-night test, which gets underway at the Gabba on Thursday, Australia could have had to look for a new opener for the second time in the series.<\/p>\n<p>Following Australia\u2019s 3-0 series victory around New Year\u2019s, experienced opener <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bolnews.com\/sports\/2024\/01\/david-warners-helicopter-arrival-sparks-excitement-at-scg-before-bbl-13\/\">David Warner<\/a> announced his retirement from the format.
