Don\u2019t push us to the point of no return,\u201d he said in the interview published on Sunday. Mr Gohar held a conciliatory tone and expressed his party\u2019s willingness to engage in dialogue and work together with their rivals.<\/p>\n<p>He added that the power of a ruler and dictator is destined to end, but this country, people and democracy will stay. \u201cIf this is realised, we can forget differences and move forward.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He warned that a third force could \u201cexploit the situation\u201d if differences are not resolved.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf you pick a fight with the country\u2019s largest party and don\u2019t allow it to participate in the democratic process, then will this be called a democratic country?\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"media  sm:w-1\/2  w-full  media--right  media--embed  media--uneven\">\n<p>    <iframe class=\"nk-iframe\" onload=\"setInterval(()=&gt;{try{this.style.height=this.contentWindow.document.body.scrollHeight+'px';}catch{}}, 100)\" width=\"100%\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\" style=\"height:400px;position:relative\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dawn.com\/news\/card\/1806212\" sandbox=\"allow-same-origin allow-scripts allow-popups allow-modals allow-forms\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<\/figure>\n<p>When asked to elaborate on his statement, he said some institutions are against the party and were, therefore, aiding PTI\u2019s rivals.<\/p>\n<p>While he contended that no institution had contacted the party, nor have they contacted anyone, Mr Gohar added that PTI founding chairman Imran Khan is willing to talk to everyone for a free and fair election.<\/p>\n<p>He complained that ECP had only filed a case against PTI\u2019s foreign funding and intra-party elections.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOn one hand, Nawaz Sharif was brought back and acquitted of all cases to make him eligible for elections. On the other, PTI\u2019s founding chairman was booked in all sorts of cases, including treason.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Talking about the loss of PTI\u2019s \u2018bat\u2019 symbol, he told <em>VOA Urdu<\/em> that his party had been deprived of 227 reserved seats since it is contesting the election without a symbol.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEven if those who win as independent candidates join PTI after elections, the party will be at a huge loss during the election for the president, prime minister and Senate due to the loss of reserved seats.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u2018COAS appointment\u2019<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The PTI chairman denied his party had tried to sabotage the army chief\u2019s appointment and added that any leader\u2019s statement on this matter is their personal opinion. According to Mr Gohar, the party\u2019s founding chairman didn\u2019t pick a fight with the army and has even tried to shun this impression.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"media  sm:w-1\/2  w-full  media--right  media--embed  media--uneven\">\n<p>    <iframe class=\"nk-iframe\" onload=\"setInterval(()=&gt;{try{this.style.height=this.contentWindow.document.body.scrollHeight+'px';}catch{}}, 100)\" width=\"100%\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\" style=\"height:400px;position:relative\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dawn.com\/news\/card\/1805488\" sandbox=\"allow-same-origin allow-scripts allow-popups allow-modals allow-forms\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<\/figure>\n<p>Talking about the Supreme Court\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dawn.com\/news\/1805488\/pti-bat-tered-loses-iconic-electoral-symbol-as-sc-restores-ecp-order\">decision<\/a> regarding PTI\u2019s \u2018bat\u2019 symbol, Mr Gohar said the party is waiting for the detailed order, after which an intra-court appeal would be filed.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere are legal gaps in the order, and the party would also contend that a larger bench, and not a three-member bench, should hear constitutional matters.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He clarified that Mr Khan has complete faith in the Supreme Court.<\/p>\n<p>He vowed not to leave the field as it would allow PTI\u2019s rivals to come together in the assembly. \u201cIt\u2019s better for the party to struggle while being in the assembly than remaining outside for five years.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He added that after the elections, PTI would work with other parties for the betterment of the country and reposed faith in the party\u2019s candidates, hoping they wouldn\u2019t switch loyalties after winning.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"media  sm:w-1\/2  w-full  media--right  media--embed  media--uneven\">\n<p>    <iframe class=\"nk-iframe\" onload=\"setInterval(()=&gt;{try{this.style.height=this.contentWindow.document.body.scrollHeight+'px';}catch{}}, 100)\" width=\"100%\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\" style=\"height:400px;position:relative\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dawn.com\/news\/card\/1777040\" sandbox=\"allow-same-origin allow-scripts allow-popups allow-modals allow-forms\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<\/figure>\n<p>Mr Gohar called for a general amnesty for PTI leaders and workers allegedly involved in the May 9 attacks and added that if that doesn\u2019t happen, a commission should be formed to probe the allegations.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere should be an investigation, and only after the approval of a judicial commission should a suspect be arrested and sentenced.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He said there shouldn\u2019t be any attempts to break the party due to this incident.
