ISLAMABAD: Former foreign minister Hina Rabbani Khar on Wednesday expressed concern over violation of Islamabad\u2019s airspace by Tehran, saying that Pakistan has always supported Iran \u2013 which according to her is isolated globally.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Speaking on ARY News programme \u201811th Hour\u2019<\/em>, the PPP leader said that the act of \u2018isolated\u2019 was an attack on Pakistan\u2019s sovereignty.<\/p>\n

\u201cPakistan has taken major steps to support Iran at global level,\u201d Hina Rabbani Khar said, regretting that Tehran has compromised national interest for its regime.<\/p>\n

She claimed that Iran\u2019s regime took \u2018drastic steps\u2019 \u2013 which also included attacks on Iraq and Syria \u2013 to satisfy its people after some events that unfolded in its country. \u201cTension with Islamabad in such circumstances is not in Tehran\u2019s interest,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n

Khar warned that Pakistan\u2019s respond will be difficult to handle by Iran, saying that Islamabad itself has many responsibilities and \u201cpatience and forbearance\u201d was shown.<\/p>\n

The statement came after the Foreign Office (FO), in a statement released late on Tuesday night<\/a>, denounced the strikes in Pakistani territory that resulted in \u201cdeaths of two innocent children while injuring of three girls\u201d. It termed the incident a \u201cviolation of Pakistan\u2019s sovereignty\u201d.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Iran\u2019s state-run Nour News agency said the attack destroyed the Pakistan headquarters of the Jaish al-Adl.<\/p>\n

Iran\u2019s semi-official Tasnim news agency said the \u201cfocal point of this operation was the region known as Kouh-Sabz (green mountain)\u201d in Balochistan.<\/p>\n

\u201cTwo key strongholds of the Jaysh al-Dhulm (Jaish al-Adl) terrorist group in Pakistan\u201d were \u201cspecifically targeted and successfully demolished by a combination of missile and drone attacks\u201d, the Tasnim news agency said.<\/p>\n

Earlier in the day, the FO said Pakistan decided to recall its ambassador from Iran<\/a> and suspend all high-level visits ongoing or planned between the two countries following the incident.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
