The Caretaker Prime Minister of Pakistan, Anwar ul Haq Kakar, on Sunday, has arrived in Davos, Switzerland, to take part during the 54th<\/sup> Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF), which will be taking place from January 15 to January 19, 2024.<\/p>\n

It is to be noted that, during the visit on the sidelines of the 54th<\/sup> annual meeting of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Caretaker PM Kakar<\/a>, will invite the international community to make investment in Pakistan under the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) initiative.<\/p>\n

Caretaker PM Kakar was welcomed in Zurich by the permanent representative of Pakistan to Geneva, Bilal Ahmed, and Swiss Ambassador, Amir Shaukat along with other senior diplomatic officials.<\/p>\n

The information about this has been shared by the Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan. Noting to the information shared by the MoFA Pakistan, The Prime Minister will deliver a keynote address on the theme \u2018Trade tech\u2019s trillion dollar promise.\u2019<\/p>\n

During the visit, Caretaker Prime Minister, Kakar will also take part in the three key thematic events \u201cPreventing an era of global conflicts\u201d, \u201cRestoring faith in the global system\u201d, and \u201cPreventing economic fractures.\u201d<\/p>\n

The spokesperson for the Foreign Office said that, \u201cPM Kakar would also hold meetings with the government and the business leaders on the sidelines of the event as well as lead an Invest in Pakistan event.\u201d<\/p>\n

It is to be noted that, Pakistan<\/a> as used the previous year\u2019s World Economic Forum (WEF) summit to highlight the immense damages made by the disastrous 2022 floods and seek international economic assistance from the global powers.<\/p>\n

As per the WEF, \u201cThe meeting of the forum, will be providing crucial space to focus on the fundamental principles driving trust, including transparency, consistency and accountability among the leaders.\u201d<\/p>\n

It said the goal was to help connect the dots in an increasingly complex environment and provide foresight by introducing the latest advances in science, industry and society.<\/p>\n

The theme for this year\u2019s meeting is \u201cRebuilding Trust.\u201d<\/p>\n
