The court formally commenced the trial in the case and summoned the witnesses at the next hearing.<\/p>\n<p>The judge read out the charges in the court set up in Rawalpindi\u2019s Adiala Jail, with the PTI founder in presence.<\/p>\n<p><div class=\"ast-oembed-container \" style=\"height: 100%;\"><iframe title=\"Bani PTI or Bushra Bibi per fard-e-jurm aaid  - \ud835\udc00\ud835\udc11\ud835\udc18 \ud835\udc01\ud835\udc2b\ud835\udc1e\ud835\udc1a\ud835\udc24\ud835\udc22\ud835\udc27\ud835\udc20 \ud835\udc0d\ud835\udc1e\ud835\udc30\ud835\udc2c\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/oOjwJbT5O3E?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<\/p>\n<p>However, his wife did not appear, which annoyed the judge.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Marriage<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>The former prime minister married Bushra Bibi in February 2018 in Lahore.<\/p>\n<p>The ceremony was attended by only close relatives, including the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/nyAtaGxiYS4\">bride\u2019s<\/a>\u00a0mother, and friends. PTI founder\u2019s sisters, however, were not in attendance.<\/p>\n<p>Mufti Saeed had performed the nikah in the presence of former Pakitan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Awn Chaudhary and former SAPM Zulfi Bukhari who appeared as witnesses.<\/p>\n<p>Last year, Khawar Maneka \u2014 Bibi\u2019s former husband, who had approached the court \u2014 had claimed that the marriage was illegal and against the laws of Sharia.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=oOjwJbT5O3E\">Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi<\/a> were originally accused of marrying within the three-month \u201ciddat period\u201d that follows a divorce.
