{"id":48181,"date":"2024-01-15T13:36:05","date_gmt":"2024-01-15T13:36:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/news.pakistaninewspaperlist.com\/weather-outlook-of-islamabad-pakistan-cold-wave-to-persist-pakistan-observer\/"},"modified":"2024-01-15T13:36:05","modified_gmt":"2024-01-15T13:36:05","slug":"weather-outlook-of-islamabad-pakistan-cold-wave-to-persist-pakistan-observer","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pakistaninewspaperlist.com\/news\/weather-outlook-of-islamabad-pakistan-cold-wave-to-persist-pakistan-observer\/","title":{"rendered":"Weather outlook of Islamabad, Pakistan; cold wave to persist &#8211; Pakistan Observer"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<tts-play-button data-id=\"2\" class=\"tts_play_button\"\/><\/p>\n<p>ISLAMABAD \u2013 The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast cold and dry weather for Islamabad, Rawalpindi and most parts of Pakistan during the next two days.<\/p>\n<p>As per the synoptic situation, continental air prevails over most parts of Pakistan.<\/p>\n<p>Under these conditions, mainly cold and dry weather is expected in Islamabad, Rawalpindi and most parts of Pakistan on Monday evening\/night, Tuesday and Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>Freezing and partly cloudy weather is likely in northern areas of the country.<\/p>\n<p>Partly cloudy with rains and snowfall over mountains is likely at isolated places of Gilgit-Baltistan.<\/p>\n<p>Dense fog\/smog is likely to persist in Punjab (Bahawalpur, Sahiwal, Okara, Kasur, Lahore, Sialkot, Narowal, Gujranwala, Jhelum, Mangla, Faisalabad, Jhang, Sargodha, Mandi Bahauddin, Toba Tek Singh, Khanewal, Multan, Khanpur, Rahim Yar Khan, Hafizabad, Bhakkar, Layyah, Dera Ghazi Khan and surroundings), plains of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and upper Sindh.<\/p>\n<p>Dense fog\/smog may force the closure of Motorways and disrupt traffic on the National Highway and other inter and intra-city roads.<\/p>\n<p>Islamabad\u2019s minimum temperature will likely remain between 00-02 degrees Celsius on Tuesday and Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>Rawalpindi\u2019s minimum temperature will likely remain between 01-03 C on Tuesday and Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, cold and dry weather prevailed in Islamabad, Rawalpindi and most parts of Pakistan during the last 24 hours.<\/p>\n<p>Leh remained the coldest place in the country where mercury dropped 08 C below freezing.<\/p>\n<p>In Islamabad, the minimum temperature was recorded at 01 C.<\/p>\n<p>Relative humidity during the morning was recorded at 91 per cent.<\/p>\n<p>In Rawalpindi, the minimum temperature was recorded at 02 C.<\/p>\n<p>Relative humidity during the morning was recorded at 88 per cent.<\/p>\n<p>Dense fog\/smog forced the closure of Motorways and disrupted traffic on the National Highway.<\/p>\n<p><!-- AI CONTENT END 2 --><\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD \u2013 The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast cold and dry weather for Islamabad, Rawalpindi and most parts of Pakistan during the next two days.
