Zaidi had been battling a protracted illness and succumbed to death at a private hospital in Lahore.<\/p>\n<p>The <em>Wafa Ka Mausam<\/em> star had been receiving kidney treatment, as per reports.<\/p>\n<p>From 1970 to 1998, Zaidi remained affiliated to the field of journalism. Besides writing short stories and poetry, he also wrote theatre plays for over a decade.<\/p>\n<p>Despite leaving behind a legacy with a broad spectrum of characters, Zaidi&#8217;s most notable work to date remains his performance in <em>Hum Sab Umeed Se Hain<\/em>.
