The petitioners, including Mr Sharif, were seeking the court\u2019s protection against the harassment by the police and law enforcement agencies.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"media  sm:w-1\/2  w-full  media--right  media--embed  media--uneven\">\n<p>    <iframe class=\"nk-iframe\" onload=\"setInterval(()=&gt;{try{this.style.height=this.contentWindow.document.body.scrollHeight+'px';}catch{}}, 100)\" width=\"100%\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\" style=\"height:400px;position:relative\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dawn.com\/news\/card\/1748626\" sandbox=\"allow-same-origin allow-scripts allow-popups allow-modals allow-forms\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<\/figure>\n<p>Initially, the petitions were heard by former CJ Athar Minallah, who iss\u00adu\u00aded a blanket order for the protection of these journalists.<\/p>\n<p>Justice Kayani resumed the hearing on Thursday and was informed that Mr Sharif faced 16 FIRs, while Mr Abraham was nominated in 13 cases.
