PESHAWAR: The Peshawar High Court (PHC) on Thursday resumed hearing of contempt petition against ANP leader Aimal Wali Khan, ARY News reported on Thursday.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Chief Justice Muhammad Ibrahim Khan had summoned Aimal Wali Khan today to explain his position over an interview.<\/p>\n

Chief Justice expressed his resentment over noise outside the courtroom after arrival of the ANP leader. \u201cKeep them silent, otherwise I won\u2019t hear the case,\u201d Justice Muhammad Ibrahim told the DSP security.<\/p>\n

ANP workers scuffled with petitioner Fazal Muhammad Khan. They were witnessed chasing behind the fleeing petitioner and manhandling him.<\/p>\n

Later, he resumed hearing of petition against Aimal Wali Khan.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou are younger, my son is also of your age, you are like my child,\u201d chief justice told Aimal Wali.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have only complained,\u201d Aimal Wali Khan said. \u201cMen do not complain, only women do it,\u201d chief justice said.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur cases not being heard in court, Aimal Wali filed a case but was not heard,\u201d ANP lawyer said. \u201cOne party\u2019s cases are being heard here not ours,\u201d Aimal Wali said.<\/p>\n

\u201cYour case twice put in the hearing list, but your lawyer failed to appear thus the hearing was adjourned,\u201d chief justice.<\/p>\n

The court summoned the record of all ANP cases.<\/p>\n

\u201cI respect the court and could not even think about contempt of the court,\u201d Aimal Wali said.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe apologize, the court has heard us with great restraint’\u201d Barrister Amir Khan said told the court.<\/p>\n

\u201cBacha Khan and Wali Khan are not only your grandfathers, they are also our elders,\u201d Chief Justice Ibrahim Khan said.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou go back and refute what you have stated,\u201d chief justice further said.<\/p>\n

In a previous hearing the petitioner\u2019s counsel referred interview of Awami National Party Khyber Pakhtunkhwa\u2019s president Aimal Wali seeking contempt proceedings against him.<\/p>\n
