Pakistan, during the past year, has witnessed around 1,524 violence related fatalities and 1,463 injuries from 789 terror attacks and counter-terror operations, which has marked a record six year high.<\/p>\n

The information about the above mentioned has been confirmed by an annual security report issued by the Center for Research and Security Studies (CRSS).<\/p>\n

It is to be hereby mentioned that, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan are major two provinces which are recording most of the number of violence attacks, reporting for over 90% of overall fatalities and 84pc of attacks, including incidents of terrorism and security forces operations.<\/p>\n

Not just limited to previous year, but the entire state of Pakistan<\/a> continues to witness the spike in terror attacks across the nation. The recent attack reported from Bajaur has again resulted in igniting up the fire across the nation.<\/p>\n

The Bajaur<\/a> district in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province has witnessed terror attack, where a vehicle carrying police personnel in the Mamond tehsil for escorting vaccinations came under attack. Resulting of which, 5 policemen died on the spot, whereas other two succumbed to the injuries at a hospital in Peshawar. The death toll from the attack on a police van in Bajaur rose to seven.<\/p>\n

Notably, the banned Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has claimed the responsibility for the attack.<\/p>\n

A day earlier, the media wing of the military said a soldier was martyred in an exchange of fire with the terrorists in the North Waziristan district.<\/p>\n

It is to be noted that, during the month of December in the past year, at least 23 Pakistani army troops were martyred, whereas 30 other troops were wounded after militants belonging to the Tehreek-i-Jihad Pakistan (TJP) attacked a compound used by the military in Dera Ismail Khan\u2019s Daraban area.<\/p>\n
