Former Pakistan captain and coach Misbah-ul-Haq has pointed out a flaw in Saim Ayub’s technique after his Test debut against Australia in Sydney. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Despite being dismissed for a duck in the first innings, Ayub showcased his batting skills in the second innings, scoring 33 runs off 53 balls, including a six off Mitchell Starc and a boundary off Pat Cummins. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Misbah praised Ayub’s talent but emphasized the need for a minor adjustment in his technique, specifically addressing his front leg movement. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

In a video shared on Misbah’s Facebook account, the 49-year-old hailed Ayub’s talent but pointed out the need for a specific adjustment in his technique.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

“He displayed excellent temperament, attacking the Australian bowlers during his brief innings. It seems he can assert dominance over the opposition and perform consistently for Pakistan,” Misbah said in a video shared on his Facebook account.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

“A minor adjustment is necessary in Ayub’s technique concerning the fuller deliveries from both pacers and spinners, as his front leg tends to move across slightly, potentially causing issues. His dismissal hints at a similar concern,” Misbah added.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Ayub is part of Pakistan\u2019s T20I squad for the upcoming five-match T20I series against New Zealand starting on January 12.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
